The story starts from 1930 when Colonel Sandres started his first restaurant named 'Sander's Court and Cafe'. The original recipe was born on 1940 after 'Sander's Court and Cafe' got its place in the Ducan Hines 'Adventures in Good Eating'. Colonel started marketing his chicken recipe by 1955 and in 1957 they started to sell the chicken in buckets.

Ingredients

Marinade:

8 cups water

1/4 cup salt

2 teaspoons MSG

1 small whole chicken

Brush with:

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke

1/4 teaspoon soysauce

Seasoning:

2 teaspoon all purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder

1/4 teaspoon beef bouillon powder

1/4 teaspoon coarse grind black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon dried oregano

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
